Cal-Counties Fire Protection Inc. is seeking a fresh and vibrant individual looking to start from the ground floor of a small business in an Apprenticeship program, working their way up the ladder by excelling in the trade. Initially we are looking for someone to carry out all the basic warehouse duties the job requires, which includes lots of hands on work. You will be working with stored pressure cylinders (fire extinguishers of all types), along with steel pipe, and standard hand held tools. This ground floor position will also include cleaning, sanitation, maintenance around our shop, and assisting veteran technicians in the field. While performing these basic duties required of the entry level position, you will also be trained to become licensed in the trade of servicing and certifying fire extinguishers per the NFPA and state of California code requirements. You will be trained, and required to pass a written test with the state in order to obtain this license. Passing this test and becoming licensed is required in order to maintain employment. Once you are licensed and have proven you are capable of running your own service truck, provided by the company, as a field technician, you will then be a part of a team of technicians that maintain our accounts throughout the Southern California region. Once licensed and running your own service truck, increasing compensation packages come along with that based on performance, attitude, and attendance. The position to start gives 35+ hours a week. Entry level positions come with a 90 day probationary period. We are seeking committed individuals; do not apply to this position if you are looking to job hop.
